Every person on this team has worn a uniform, taken an oath, and shown up. Not for a paycheck — there isn't one. For the 22.
Construction worker, comedian, skydiver, and military veteran. Joey is someone who likes to tell jokes, be the butt of the joke, and coach people through their skydiving journey whenever he gets the chance. He is always open, honest, and has the best intentions for those around him. He is the guy who got this whole organization started — using his own grit, grind, and pockets to bankroll a lot of the events we had in the early days. If Dive 22 has a heartbeat, Joey put it there.
Veteran, skydiver, and the quiet kind of guy who listens to your stories, loves to hear everything about what you've done, and shares his own insights when the moment is right. Four deployments in — three to Iraq, one to Afghanistan. Works in information technology and cybersecurity. He was the first to complete the AFF program through Dive 22, and he hasn't stopped since. Contributes to the planning and execution of every event we run.
Army veteran, skydiver, and a pilot in the making. Quiet, yet honest — a man of action over words. Working in cybersecurity and information technology on his own terms. Brian got pulled into this community through a need to conquer his own fears, and ended up becoming one of the most reliable members of the team. An amazing friend and a better family member than you could ever ask for. The kind of person you want in your corner when things need to get done right.
None of us get paid. Every event comes out of donations, sponsorships, and sometimes our own pockets. We do this because we've seen what happens when a veteran feels forgotten — and we refuse to let that be the end of the story. The sky has a way of reminding people that life is still worth showing up for. We're here to make sure veterans get that reminder.
Applications are free. The experience is free. The only thing required is that you served.
