Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 17, 2026  ·  Dive 22  ·  501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization
Section 01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Dive 22 website at dive22.com ("Site"), submitting an application, participating in any Dive 22 event, or making a donation, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or services.

These Terms apply to all visitors, applicants, participants, donors, volunteers, and others who access or use our services.

Section 02

Our Mission

Dive 22 is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing free skydiving experiences to United States military veterans. Our name honors the 22 veterans lost to suicide every day.

All jump programs and instruction at our events are provided free of charge to eligible veterans. Dive 22 relies on donations, sponsorships, and the support of the skydiving community to fund its operations. Veterans are responsible for their own travel to and from events. Additional drop zone fees — such as overweight surcharges — are not covered by Dive 22.

Dive 22 does not charge veterans for participation in any event. The cost of the jump experience and instruction at the drop zone is funded through charitable contributions. Veterans are responsible for their own travel and transportation to and from the event location. Additional fees charged by the drop zone — including fees for participants exceeding the drop zone's weight limit — are the responsibility of the participant and are not covered by Dive 22.

Section 03

Eligibility

Veteran Applicants

To be eligible for Dive 22 programs, applicants must:

  • Be a veteran of the United States Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, or Reserve components)
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Meet the physical requirements of the selected skydiving program
  • Not exceed weight limits established by the participating drop zone (typically 220 lbs. for tandem; limits vary by program). Participants who exceed the drop zone's standard weight limit may be subject to an additional surcharge charged directly by the drop zone. This fee is not covered by Dive 22 and is the sole responsibility of the participant.
  • Complete all required waivers and documentation prior to participation

General Users

The Site may be accessed by anyone. Submitting false information in an application, impersonating a veteran, or attempting to circumvent eligibility requirements may result in permanent disqualification and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

Section 04

Applications & Registration

When you submit an application through our Site, you agree that:

  • All information provided is accurate, complete, and truthful
  • You authorize Dive 22 to verify your veteran status
  • Submission of an application does not guarantee participation — spots are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis subject to eligibility review
  • You will receive email communication regarding your application status
  • Dive 22 reserves the right to deny or cancel any application at its discretion

Waitlist

When an event reaches capacity, applicants are placed on a waitlist and notified by email if a spot becomes available. Waitlist placement does not guarantee participation.

Cancellations

If you are confirmed for an event and cannot attend, please notify us as soon as possible at admin@dive22.com so your spot may be offered to a waitlisted veteran.

Section 05

Events & Participation

Assumption of Risk

Skydiving is an extreme sport that involves inherent risks including serious injury or death. By participating in any Dive 22 event, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with skydiving activities.

Waivers

All participants are required to sign liability waivers from both Dive 22 and the participating drop zone prior to any jump. Failure to sign required waivers will result in disqualification from participation.

Medical Fitness

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are in adequate physical and mental health to safely participate in skydiving activities. Dive 22 recommends consulting a physician prior to participation. Dive 22 reserves the right to deny participation to any individual it reasonably believes poses a safety risk.

Drop Zone Rules

All participants must comply with the rules, regulations, and instructions of the hosting drop zone and its staff at all times. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund or future participation.

Event Modifications

Dive 22 reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel events due to weather, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants in advance.

Section 06

Donations

Dive 22 accepts donations through Zeffy and Cash App. All donations are processed by third-party payment processors subject to their own terms of service.

  • Donations to Dive 22 are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law as contributions to a 501(c)(3) organization
  • Dive 22 does not guarantee any specific use of donated funds beyond general support of our mission
  • Donation amounts displayed on our fundraising tracker are updated manually and may not reflect real-time totals
  • Dive 22 does not sell donor information to third parties
  • All donations are final — refunds are not provided except at the sole discretion of Dive 22 leadership
Section 07

Code of Conduct

All users of the Site and participants in Dive 22 events are expected to:

  • Treat all staff, volunteers, fellow veterans, and drop zone personnel with respect
  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or threatening behavior of any kind
  • Not use the Site or services for any unlawful purpose
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems
  • Not submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information

Violations of this code may result in disqualification from current and future events, removal from the Site, and if warranted, referral to law enforcement.

By submitting photos, stories, or other content to Dive 22 (including at events), you grant Dive 22 a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and publish that content for promotional and mission-related purposes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dive 22, its officers, directors, volunteers, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or participation in any event.

Dive 22's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount of any donation you made to Dive 22 in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Section 11
